Peckham Masquerade Arcade
Peckham Masquerade Arcade is an innovative project that aims to create a space that will have a positive impact on the Peckham community. The project's approach is to incentivize a comprehensive understanding of the historical context and building conditions in the area, as well as the social conditions and desires of the community. I conducted extensive research to understand the area's history, including the evolution of the buildings and the cultural traditions that have emerged over time. I also assess the current social conditions and the community's needs to determine the most effective design solutions.
The design outcome will focus on solving the lack of afterschool activities for youth in the area and will serve as a cultural hub that highlights and celebrates the diversity and cultural roots of Peckham. The cultural hub will provide a space for people to come together and celebrate their cultural roots, with features that attract young people and encourage them to engage in activities that promote their development, such as sports, arts, and music. The project aims to provide a long-lasting and positive impact on the Peckham community, creating a space that not only provides opportunities for youth but also celebrates the rich cultural heritage of the area.
Atmospheric Daydream
Atmospheric Daydream is a project that aims to bring a new dimension to Trinity Buoy Wharf, a space in London that has a unique relationship with nature. The project focuses on creating small-scale performance shelters that can accommodate 20 or more people, allowing for intimate performances that engage the audience. To achieve this, the project relies on an in-depth understanding of the scope of performance and daily analytical drawings, which help to create interpretative models that can be used to revitalize the space.
The shelters themselves are designed to explore the dynamic relationship between nature and mankind, taking inspiration from the park adjacent to Trinity Buoy Wharf. Through this design approach, Atmospheric Daydream aims to create a truly unique and immersive experience that showcases the natural beauty of the area while also celebrating the creative potential of performance art. Whether you're a lover of nature or a fan of innovative design, this project is sure to capture your imagination and leave you with a sense of wonder and awe.
